Delhi government to launch guidebook for EV workplace charging on 29 November

The guidebook is named 'Workplace Electric Vehicle Charging Guidebook for Corporates in Delhi' is prepared in conjunction with the Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC) of the Delhi government and the World Resources Institute (WRI).

The government of Delhi has commenced the work on a guidebook for encouraging workplace charging points for electric vehicles (EVs). The EV charging guidebook will be released on 29 November. The guidebook will provide details about the charging infrastructure for EVs required at workplaces. It will also guide the corporates on assessing the scope for installing such infrastructure. 

The guidebook is named 'Workplace Electric Vehicle Charging Guidebook for Corporates in Delhi' is prepared in conjunction with the Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC) of the Delhi government and the World Resources Institute (WRI). A step-by-step procedure will be provided by the guidebook for installing charging infrastructure at workplaces. It aims to encourage corporates in the national capital to join hands in promoting electric vehicles. With this initiative, the Delhi government has a goal of becoming the first state in the country to make corporates an integral part of the EV movement. 

Delhi has been at the forefront of the promotion of electric mobility through different initiatives, incentives and awareness programs. The government has recently announced that it will be allowing retrofitting old diesel vehicles to electric ones. Delhi government has also enlisted manufacturers who make electric kits for retrofitting conventional ICE vehicles to EVs.
