India to become top Electric Vehicle manufacturer in due course: Nitin Gadkari

Gadkari stated that India is a power surplus and this is time for the Indian economy to use electricity as power. India is moving ahead towards making electric vehicles. In due course of time, it will be the number one electric vehicle makers in the world.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari recently mentioned that India will soon become the top electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing centre in due course of time. 

While talking at Amazon’s Smbhav Summit 2021, the minister addressed that lithium-ion batteries will be completely manufactured in India in the next couple of months. India has got a huge capability for producing green power.

Gadkari stated that India is a power surplus and this is time for the Indian economy to use electricity as power. India is moving ahead towards making electric vehicles. In due course of time, it will be the number one electric vehicle makers in the world.

The minister flagged off a line of electric vehicles of Amazon India virtually. In an official statement, Amazon India reaffirmed its commitment towards the electrification of its last-mile delivery fleet to decrease its dependency on non-renewable resources.
