MG Astor mid-size SUV to launch on September 19  

The SUV is India's first AI-powered car and has Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features that offer various active safety bits and allows 14 different functionalities.

The British carmaking company Morris Garages has revealed the new MG Astor for the Indian market. The car will be displayed in the MG showrooms from September 19. The car is a mid-size SUV that offers space that sits below the Hector. The mid-SUV competes directly with the current segment leader Hyundai Creta. 

The recent revealed MG Astor has over 80 internet features and gets an inbuilt Jio e-SIM for connectivity on the go. The SUV is India's first AI-powered car and has Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features that offer various active safety bits and allows 14 different functionalities. MG Astor is the fourth product in the Indian market, offering segment-leading features like heated ORVMs, hill descent control, steering modes, a digital key with Bluetooth tech, and 80+ connected commands. 

The SUV interior will come in three colour choices which include Sangria red, Tuxedo Black, and iconic ivory. The driver's seat is electrically adjustable with six-way, while the interior packs 10.1-inch infotainment and a 7-inch driver's display. The MG's mid-SUV will be powered with two engine options. The car houses a 1.3 litre Turbo engine with 6-speed automatic transmission and has 140 horsepower and 220 Nm of peak torque. The aspirated petrol engine has the option of an 8-speed CVT or manual transmission which generates 110 hp and 144 Nm.
