OLA electric scooter gets 1 lakh bookings within the first 24 hours of opening

Ola Electric recently trademarked three names for its first e-scooter registration. Now that everything is set the official launch of the scooter doesn’t seem too far as one of Ola’s mega factories edging closer to completion.

Ola's upcoming electric scooter has created much hype leading to a record-breaking 1 lakh reservations, as professed by the company. Reportedly, the electric scooter has become the most pre-booked scooter in the world.

The EV maker had started pre-bookings for the e-scooter on July 15, 2021, for Rs 499. It is being said that the low token amount may be one of the reasons for receiving such a great response. Ola Electric has made a business of over Rs 5 crore revenue without proposed clients even seeing the scooter.

Talking about the same Bhavish Aggarwal, Group CEO of Ola, said in a statement that he is thrilled by the enormous response from customers across India for their first electric vehicle. The unusual demand is a clear sign of shifting consumer choices to EVs. This will be a huge step forward in their mission to transition the world to sustainable mobility.
