Grofers is an online grocery delivery platform backed by Softbank and Zomato. The company is looking forward to reducing its delivery time from 15 minutes to 10 minutes for every customer. They have planned to expand this service to 10 cities in India. 

In the company's blogpost, Albinder Dhindsa wrote, "Today, we launched our 10th city with the promise to deliver groceries within minutes to your doorstep. While our average delivery times are still hovering around the 15-minute mark, our eventual vision is to be below 10 minutes for every customer in India". Dhindsa further said that more partners are coming on board which will help in developing the network. Now, the service of Grofers is available in Gurugram, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Noida, Jaipur, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, and Bangalore.

Grofers recently turned into a unicorn after an investment in the frim by Zomato. Reportedly, Zomato invested around Rs. 745 Crores in Grofers for acquiring a minor stake. The decision to expand the business comes in the light of Swiggy widening its business to five more cities. BigBasket and Zomato are speeding up their business, especially after Tata's investment in BigBasket. Recently Zomato also started delivery service on its app and offers the delivery in about 30-40 minutes.
