Hindustan Unilever Q1 net profit rises to 9.5%; revenue jump 13% YoY
Hindustan Unilever's (HUL) first-quarter net profit for June came at Rs.2,061 crore increment of 9.5% compared to Rs.1,881 crore in the same quarter last year.
In the first-quarter net profit of Hindustan Unilever's (HUL) for June came at Rs.2,061 crore increment of 9.5% compared to Rs.1,881 crore in the same quarter last year. The total revenue of the FMCG company rose nearly 13% to Rs.11,951 crore as compared to Rs.10,560 crore.
In such a challenging phase of the second wave of Covid-19, HUL managed to give a strong performance with a Domestic Consumer Growth of 12%, underlying Volume Growth of 9%, and profit after tax growth of 10%. The performance of the company was broad-based of all three divisions competitively growing in double digits.
The HUL's home care segment grew at 12%, enabled by double-digit growth in Fabric Wash. The beauty and personal care segments grew at 13%, followed by Hair Care and Skin Care. Also, with the 12% of growth, Food and Refreshment delivered another quarter with high performance.
The shares of Hindustan Unilever were up over 1% to Rs. 2,464 per share on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
