A list of corporate leaders who made their mark in philanthropic activities came out on Thursday, business tycoons such as Nita Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, and Gautam Adani are on the list. Indiaspora, a US-based diaspora body, released this list. They drew conclusions with guidance from nine jurors, verified lists, documents shared publicly, reputed studies included, and multiple sources. 

The Indiaspora's list includes philanthropists from India and other parts of the world such as the United States of America, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates. The list is topped by Nita Ambani, Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla from India; Manoj Bhargava, Monte Ahuja and Ajay Banga from USA; Mohamed Amersi, Kujinder Bahia and Manoj Badale from UK; and Aditya Jha and Bob Dhillon from Canada. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian diaspora is the largest in the world. With 32 million people of Indian origin. 

These philanthropy leaders made their contribution during the COVID-19 pandemic. The founder of Indiaspora, M R Rangaswami, said that these leaders are a good example of generosity and remind us of the issues that need attention. Nilekani, an honoree of the list, also the Founder-Chairperson of sustainable water and sanitation nonprofit Arghyam, hopes the diaspora will continue to give forward even more boldly.
