RIL, IT stock sets Sunsex to a fresh closing high, up to 167 pts and VIX jumps 4%

The domestic benchmark records high gains on the third day in a row on 06 September 2021. The stock recorded high closing among a firm global market setup. As fears of a faster-than-expected US, Fed tampering receded disappointing jobs data. Due to the rally between Reliance Industries and IT stocks the Bombay Stock Exchange rose from 167 points to 58,297. 

Meantime the broader Nifty 50 rose to 54 points to settle at 17,378. Today it hit an all-time high trade of  17,429.55, and in the 50 pack index, 26 stocks closed in the red and 24 in the green. The top gainers stock of today were Wipro, HCL, Tech, Infosys, and RIL, while IOC, Induslnd Bank, ONGC, and Britania were the worst stragglers.

BSE Smallcap index outperformed the benchmark, with a gain of 0.59 percent, whereas BSE Midcap lagged as it rose 0.18 percent. Both indices had touched fresh peaks in opening trade. The best performer was the Nifty Realty as the stocks were up over three percent, followed by IT and Media that had growth of one percent each. The financial and banking sector remained under pressure.
