Disney+ reveals new content list of 18 originals from APAC 

Currently, the streaming service is available in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and Thailand. It will be launching its services in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan in November 2021.

On Thursday, Walt Disney Company has announced a huge slate of global, regional, and local language content for Disney+. It also unveiled over 20 new APAC content titles, including 18 originals. The viewers can enjoy a wide range of original stories from top content creators which include branded content is from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic, and Star. 

Currently, the streaming service is available in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and Thailand. It will be launching its services in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan in November 2021. As per the new APAC project, original productions will be created by the leading content creators. There will be star-studded scripted live-action tent-pole series that include drama, comedy, fantasy, romance, science-fiction, crime, horror. It will also have a variety of shows, documentaries, and anime from different content markets which include, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Greater China and Australia. 

The new content of APAC will be available on the streaming service next year. It is a part of Disney's ambition to release over 50 APAC Originals by 2023. It will be launching branded entertainment program on the Disney+ platform. It includes content from Disney's global brand franchises, general entertainment content from Star, and local language originals from APAC.
