The film which has received accolades from critics and audiences globally at various international film festivals features Zareen Khan and Anshuman Jha in lead roles. Based on the LGTBQ+ it depicts a beautiful story of two friends who set out on a road trip and discover something special that bonds them.

In the two minutes, twenty seconds long trailer we get to see two strangers becoming friends as they set on a road trip together from Delhi to Himachal Pradesh’s Mcleodganj. While on the journey they share some truths about life and relationships. And how amidst all this the special bond between them blooms! The film addresses homosexuality, friendship, love and acceptance through Mansi and Veer aka Zareen and Anshuman's life journey.

While talking about the film, Zareen said in a statement, “I was immediately drawn to the depth and emotionality of Mansi's character since the first time that I heard the narration of Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele by Harish Sir and post reading the screenplay - its unique storyline just hooked me. Just like Veer and Mansi's lives change after their road trip, Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele has been a life-changing experience for me and I do hope the film is able to relay the message that love is love - to even more people as it releases on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.”
