1. The film landed in trouble while shooting 'Tujhe Dekha Toh Yeh Jaana Sanam'
While shooting for the song 'Tujhe Dekha Toh Yeh Jaana Sanam' in Haryana the film landed into a little trouble. The team had permission from the Panchayat to shoot on the particular plot, however, the local residents were not allowing the crew to shoot. They said, “how dare you do this on our land?” Later SRK intervened and sorted out the situation by speaking in his Haryanvi accent.
2. Aditya Chopra had asked SRK to drop Kajol at the end of 'Ruk Ja O Dil Deewane'
Director Aditya Chopra had asked Shah Rukh Khan to drop Kajol at the end of the track 'Ruk Ja O Dil Deewane'. The director hadn't briefed Kajol about the scene to capture her genuine reaction.
3. The 'Aao, Aao' scene impromtu
The classic 'Aao, Aao' scene with Amrish Puri and SRK feeding pigeons was completely impromptu.

5. SRK was not the original choice for DDLJ
King Khan was not the original choice for Raj Malhotra. The Nawab of Bollywood Saif Ali Khan was first offered the role. However, the original choice for the film was the Hollywood star Tom Cruise. Yash Chopra had turned down the idea.

According to Yash Chopra's wife Pamela, Anupam Kher’s character was based on Yashji. During an interview she said that he was that kind of parent to his boys, preferring to be their friend instead of their dad.
