'83 trailer: Ranveer Singh's portrayal of Kapil Dev will give you goosebumps as the film revisits historic World Cup victory

The makers of sports drama '83' have dropped the trailer. It is the true story of underdogs who pulled off something unthinkable. Ranveer Singh starrer is all set to release on 24 December 2021.

Kabir Khan is at the helm of the film and is certainly the most anticipated film of the year. The film captures the Indian cricket team's historic 1983 World Cup victory. Ranveer Singh will be essaying the role of former captain Kapil Dev. Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Dinker Sharma, Chirag Patil, Jatin Sarna, Harrdy Sandhu, Nishant Dashiya, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Dhairya Karwa, Addinath Kothare, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi are part of the huge star cast. Deepika Padukone will portray the character of Romi, Kapil Dev's wife.

In the beginning of the trailer, the Indian team is shown faltering on the field and in the post-match press conference, Ranveer as Kapil Dev says that the team is here to win which invited various comments from the reporters present. 

In the second half of the trailer, the team is seen performing seemingly well as they make a comeback. The trailer is full of emotions and drama.
