Deepika Padukone teams up with STXfilms for her second Hollywood movie as a lead actress

Deepika Padukone is returning after four-and-a-half years later in a Hollywood cross-cultural romantic comedy. Deepika's Ka Production will produce the film and co-produced by STXfilms, a division of Eros STX Global Corporation.

Deepika Padukone is all set to work on her second Hollywood film. She is returning after four-and-a-half years later in a Hollywood cross-cultural romantic comedy. Deepika's Ka Production will produce the film and co-produced by STXfilms, a division of Eros STX Global Corporation. Deepika made her Hollywood debut with XXX: The Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel in 2017.

Deepika Padukone made the announcement on her Instagram account. Reportedly, in a statement, Deepika said that her intention behind starting Ka Productions is to create purposeful content that has global appeal. She further said that she is thrilled to partner with STXfilms and Temple Hill Productions as they share the same creative vision of Ka and want to bring out impactful and dynamic cross-cultural stories.

In a statement, Adam Fogelson, Chairman, STXfilms Motion Picture Group, reportedly said that Deepika is one of the biggest global stars from India. She is talented and has an infectious personality. He further added that they are thrilled to create this project and, this has given them an opportunity to tap into the spirit, voice, characters, and vibrancy of India and New York. 

Deepika's upcoming projects include '83', a Biopic on World Cup-winning cricketer Kapil Dev starring opposite her husband, Ranveer Singh. She is working with Shah Rukh Khan in Pathan, Hritik Roshan in Fighter, an unnamed movie with Prabhas and, a remake of 'The Intern' with Amitabh Bachchan.
