Kiara Advani to star in Ashutosh Gowariker’s next 'Karram Kurram' based on Lijjat Papad's story

Kiara Advani will be seen playing the role of the woman who brought together a team of six housewives so that they can earn for their houses. The film aims to showcase the story of how a women’s cooperative group went on to build a monopoly in the papad market.

Kiara Advani has been roped in by the filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker for his upcoming film 'Karram Kurram'. The film is based on the story of Indian women’s cooperative Shri Mahila Griha Udyog, with Lijjat Papad as its flagship brand.  

The actress will be seen playing the role of the woman who brought together a team of six housewives so that they can earn for their houses. The film aims to showcase the story of how a women’s cooperative group went on to build a monopoly in the papad market.

'Karram Kurram' will be produced by Sunita Gowariker and will be presented by Ashutosh Gowariker Productions. The film will be helmed by Glenn Baretto and Ankush Mohla who have assisted Ashutosh in the past.

Meanwhile, Kiara is currently shooting for 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo', that also features Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. She is also virtually promoting her forthcoming film 'Indoo Ki Jawani' which is slated to release on 11 December 2020.

The actress has two more films in the pipeline titled 'Shershaah' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'.
