Luv Ranjan to produce the biopic of ace cricketer Sourav Ganguly
Luv Films is going to produce the biopic of Ganguly's journey from being the captain of the team to becoming the President of the Board of Cricket Control India (BCCI).
Sourav Ganguly is one of the most successful captains in the history of Indian cricket, and he is famously known as Prince of Kolkata. There are many biopics based on Indian cricketers right from M.S Dhoni to Sachin Tendulkar adding to the list of biopics made on the life of Indian cricketers is Sourav Ganguly's biopic. Luv Films, founded by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, will produce the biopic which will showcase crucial aspects of Sourav's life, right from the journey from being the captain of the Indian cricket team to become the President of the Board of Cricket Control India (BCCI). The makers have not decided upon the cast of the film, but Ganguly had once expressed his wish to see Ranbir Kapoor play his role in the biopic.
The production house announced on the official Instagram handle, saying, "We are thrilled to announce that Luv Films will produce Dada Sourav Ganguly's biopic. We are honoured to be entrusted with this responsibility and look forward to great innings."

Sourav Ganguly confirmed this news via a Tweet, saying, "Cricket has been my life, it gave confidence and ability to walk forward with my head held high, a journey to be cherished. Luv Films have produced successful films in the past, which include 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety', 'De De Pyaar De', 'Chhalaang' and 'Malang'. They are currently working on Luv Ranjan's directorial debut starring Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.
