Smart, talented and diligent would be a few words to describe Kavita Singh, Miss Vivacious Face of Thane. This diva who is a fashion designer by profession has not only won the title but also conquered many hearts with her simplicity. In a candid interview with Good Newwws, Kavita spoke about how she got a last-minute entry in the pageant and how things worked together as she bagged the esteemed title.

Talking about the pageant journey Kavita Singh said, "I got to know about the 'Radiance events-Face of Thane' through a friend. Wild card entry was on, as the entries for this event were going on for around 5 months so almost the selection process and other things were done. But at the last moment, there was a wild card entry and my friend informed me about it, he said just go for it. I was a bit sceptical as everything was happening in a hurry but then I thought let me try once. I tried, I got selected and then I moved on. I informed my company, got approval from them and participated in the competition."

The stylist further elaborated how she designed an evening gown for herself in the last round of the fashion competition. "For the first two rounds, the organizers had arranged dresses for us, but for the last one, we had to get it on our own. At the time of crowning, the gown which I had worn was designed and stitched by me. During the introductory round which was the first round, we wore fusion. For the second round, we had to walk the ramp wearing Max fashion's clothing and then in the third round we wore an evening gown. During the final round, a question was asked and and depending on overall performance throughout the competition winner was announced. The finale of the fashion show took place on 5th September", she added.

Moreover she asserted, "I have a short height, it is usually stereotyped that a person with short height cannot participate in a beauty pageant. However, the best part of this competition was that there was no discrimination and gave you a fair chance to prove yourself. Dream, believe, work and achieve in yourself. Never lose hope.

I would like to thank my family for supporting me going against all odds. My heartfelt gratitude to my friend Mr Amit Dudhawde who encouraged me to participate in the competition. Also, a big thank you to the Show Director Mrs Piyali Toshniwal & Mr. Jayesh Toshniwal were very motivating throughout the competition."

When asked if she wishes to continue modelling, Kavita averred, "I am a fashion designer by profession but yes if I get an opportunity it is well and good. I’ll be more than happy doing both things. Generally, I like to learn everything that comes my way."

Pursuing fashion designing was never pre-planned for Kavita, it was during her college days she developed an interest in this field. "During my college days, I used to design and sketch different patterns. However, I was never thinking of taking up fashion designing. It was just that I liked wearing trendy clothes. My sketches and designs were appreciated by the people around me. That’s how I decided to get into this profession.

Having said that, at present, there is one designer who inspires me and that is Chitra. She is the one who had designed outfits for the fashion event. She is amazing, I am in awe of her outfits. She owns a fashion brand called 'Chitra Collection' and also has her name registered in the Guinness Book Of World Records", she asserted.

The fashion designer who wants to establish a fashion label soon wishes to revive organic fashion in today's time. "I want to see organic fashion becoming a trend again", mentioned Kavita.
