Rajat Jaiswal commenced his pilot career in 2009 and enjoyed every bit of 7,000 plus hours of operating airbuses. He is from Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Rajat is a senior commander in a commercial airline.

As reported in Better India in February 2016, Rajat started the venture with his childhood friend, Farman Beig, who has its line of unique burgers with a desi twist. The pilot who is a die-hard foodie frequently visits the 'Wat-a-Burger' outlets located in different cities to check on the quality.

Rajat Jaiswal always wanted to establish some venture as there are ups and downs in the aviation industry. He felt having an alternate source of income would be beneficial. He believes the food industry is a lucrative investment that will never shut down. With this thought, Rajat and Farman Beig launched 'Wat-a-Burger'. Now the franchise is present in 16 cities with 60 outlets and earns Rs. 13 crores per year.
