Adv. Mrs. Rubina Akhtar Hasan Rizvi launches fully equipped cardiac ambulance service 'Rumi Care' amid COVID-19 pandemic
'Rumi Care' will certainly ease the burden on health care centers and hospitals to a greater extent. The ambulance includes all essential state of the art equipment like a transport ventilator, defibrillator, patient monitor system (PMS), syringe pumps, suction machine, emergency medical bag, portable oxygen cylinders.
The czarina of the Rizvi Group Rubina Akhtar Hasan Rizvi is always on a mission of working towards the betterment of society. She has always been at the forefront of taking the reigns of community welfare in her hands and accomplishing it. This time around the iron lady has set the vision of helping the worst-hit sufferers amidst the Coronavirus pandemic.
Looking at the increased need for emergency aid amongst the public during the COVID-19 pandemic Rubina Akhtar Hasan Rizvi who is a renowned lawyer and an educationist launched a fully equipped cardiac ambulance under her signature project ‘Rumi Care’ recently. On the day of the Saquib Rizvi Memorial cancer awareness marathon, the ICU Ambulance was inaugurated by the philanthropist Dr Akhtar Hasan Rizvi and Rubina Rizvi.

Apart from this, the social entrepreneur has been helping people through her NGO 'Help Yourself Foundation' ever since the pandemic hit the country. Initially, Rubina Akhtar Hasan Rizvi started with awareness campaigns and webinars. Then she started providing cooked meals and dry ration kits across the city and in the outskirts. She also assisted BMC by supplying masks, sanitisers, medicines, face shields, PPE Kits, pulse oximeters, blankets, wheelchairs etc to the COVID centres in Mumbai.
Shedding light on the present situation, Adv. Mrs Rubina Rizvi says, "In times of pandemic, I would like to believe that we will remember some of these lessons learned and not take our lives for granted. The privileged must use their position and power to ensure that our world is just, equal, inclusive and sustainable. That’s what my mission is."
Rubina Akhtar Rizvi's groundbreaking efforts have not only been acknowledged by the Maharashtra Government but also the consulates and embassies of various nations who received support from the 'Help Yourself Foundation' have appreciated her work.
