As the winter season has already begun people find it very difficult to work out during this season. However, as difficult as it may be but exercising during winter helps in burning more calories than the summer times. Even experts have claimed that the winter temperatures increase endurance which makes the workouts more effective. So whether it's summer or winter, if your goal is to lose weight and add extra kilos this winter then you should follow this routine to make your fitness zest stronger.

  1. Walking/Running/Jogging: Began your exercise routine with a brisk walk or even you can take a jog or run around the ground of neighbourhood block. These cardio activities will pump up your heart rate and make you ready both mentally and physically for the next workout session.
  2. Stretching: After your jog or run make sure to spend a few minutes on stretching as experts recommend that before and after workout stretching readies your muscles. It keeps them safe from injury and also improves the chance of getting a leaner and more toned body.
  3. Surya Namaskar: In yoga, Suryanamaskar is considered to be a complete body workout. It is comprised of eight different postures sequenced in a 12 step flow. The Surya Namaskar starts from the right side and needs to be completed on both sides for a complete cycle. Having a habit of practising this sequence early in the morning will boost vitamin D in the body and brings various benefits to mental and physical health.
  4. Energy Breathing: Pranayam is a breathing exercise that must be performed to gain many health benefits for the mind and body. During the winter season techniques such as Kapalbhati and Khand Pranayama are good suggestions.
