Star Sports signs Skoda as the fifth sponsor for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup

The sports broadcaster has taken six brands as sponsors on board for the tournament. They are Byju's, Coca-Cola, Dream 11, Vimal. They haven't announced the name of the sixth brand due to some confidentiality reasons.
The tournament will have 45 matches overall. It will be aired on the Star Sports network and live-streamed on Disney+ Hotstar in various languages. Star sports is looking to get Rs. 10 lakh per 10 seconds of the advertisement from the sponsors. Those who buy spots are asked for Rs. 10.95-11.15 lakh per 10 seconds. There will be equal distribution of ad spots on Star Sports for the sponsors and the spot buyers.
The Star Sports network has reportedly sold 45% of its spots even though the tournament is 2.5 months away. The broadcast network is eyeing to have an ad revenue of Rs. 1200-1500. The venue of the ICC T20 World Cup has changed due to the COVID-19 restrictions in India. Initially, the tournament was going to take place in India. Now the championship will happen in the UAE.
