Viacom 18 bags the broadcast rights of Abu Dhabi T10 league

The Abu Dhabi T10 series will premiere on 19 November 2021. The championship will air on Voot, Jio, Colors Cineplex SD (Hindi), Colors Cineplex HD (English), and Rishtey Cineplex (Hindi).

Viacom18 has secured the rights to broadcast Abu Dhabi T10 series exclusively on Television and its OTT platforms. The Abu Dhabi T10 series will premiere on 19 November 2021. The championship will air on Voot, Jio, Colors Cineplex SD (Hindi), Colors Cineplex HD (English), and Rishtey Cineplex (Hindi). 

Eight teams will compete with each other in the tournament representing 20 nations. The competition is authorised by International Cricket Council (ICC) and licensed by Emirates Cricket Board for ten years. The cricketing entertainment will last for 90 minutes over 34 matches backed by RISE Worldwide, a sports management firm, Viacom18 has a multi-year partnership with Abu Dhabi T10 series.

Star players of the series will be Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Shahid Afridi, Muhammad Amir, Faf Du Plessis, Dawid Malan, David Miller, Dwayne Bravo, Colin Munro, Imran Tahir, Eoin Morgan, Wahab Riaz, and Babar Azam along with others. The teams representing a region from the subcontinent are Team Abu Dhabi, Northern Warriors, Maratha Arabians, Qalandars, Bangla Tigers, Deccan Gladiators, Pune devils, and Delhi Bulls. 

Reportedly, Rohan Lavsi, business head of - Hindi Movies Cluster of Viacom18, said that they had witnessed a rise in viewership when they telecast sports. He also added that the company is excited to broadcast this series for its cricket fans. Matthew Boucher, Chief executive of Abu Dhabi Cricket Board, reportedly said that the telecast of the Abu Dhabi T10 series on the leading Indian network would make the media agreement unique as global multiplatform viewership is their goal.
