Netflix's 'Delhi Crime' wins the Best Drama Series at the 48th International Emmy Awards 

The International Emmy Awards 2020 were held virtually on November 23. The awards were presented by actors Kelsey Asbille, Paul Blackthorne, Tituss Burgess, Tim Daly, Haluk Bilginer, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Nico Tortorella, Caroline Peters and Indira Varma.

The Netflix series 'Delhi Crime' won the Best Drama Series award at the 48th International Emmy Awards on Monday. It bagged the Best Drama Series award against Germany's 'Charité 2' Season 2, UK's 'Criminal UK' and Argentina's 'El Jardín de Bronce' (The Bronze Garden) Season 2. 

Helmed by Richie Mehta, actress Shefali Shah plays the role of a Deputy Commissioner of Police in the series. She is tasked to find the culprits of the horrific 2012 Delhi gang-rape and murder.

After winning the award actress Shefali Shah took to Twitter to express their happiness. Shefali Shah tweeted, "OMGGGGGGGGGGGG OMGGGGGGGGGGGG OMGGGGGGGGGGGG".

Adil Hussain mentioned, "Delhi Crime #DelhiCrime wins the Emmy @iemmys International Awards for Best Drama. Congratulations @RichieMehta unmatchable @ShefaliShah dearest @rajeshtailang and whole team Big Big Congratulations!"

On the other hand, Amazon Prime Video's 'Four More Shots Please' was nominated for the Best Comedy Series, however, the award went to actor Billy Barratt for 'Responsible Child'. Made In Heaven's' Arjun Mathur was also nominated for the Best Actor award for the same Amazon Original. The award was bagged by Ninguem Ta Olhando for 'Nobody's Looking'.
