On Tuesday, the Indian women's team One Day International (ODI) skipper, Mithali Raj, reached past 20,000 runs in her international cricketing career. Mithali was able to achieve this feat in the first match of the three-match ODI series against Australia. She played a good knock of 61 runs from 107 balls.

Sharing about her achievement, the Twitter handle of BCCI women tweeted, "MILESTONE: @M_Raj03 has now completed career runs. #Legend."

The Indian team was able to post a target of 225/8 to the host, the Australian team. Yastrika Bhatia chipped in by scoring 35 runs. Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma gave a quick start to the Indian team with a partnership of 31 runs. Darcie Brown's four-wicket helped Australia to restrict India to a reasonable score. The skipper is already the highest run-scorer in all three formats of women's international cricket. She earned the tag of highest run-scorer earlier this year during the tour of England.
