BCCI announces the India squad for ICC T20 World Cup; MS Dhoni to be a mentor for the team

The wait is finally over as the Board of Cricket Control for India (BCCI) has announced India's squad for the Men's International T20 World Cup. The other decision of BCCI has taken the internet by storm as they announced that former captain MS Dhoni would mentor Team India in the 2021 World Cup. 

The 2021 T20 World Cup will commence from October 17 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and, almost all the participating teams have announced their squads for the same. The BCCI took to Twitter to announce the Indian team, "The Squad is Out! What do you make of #TeamIndia for ICC Men's T20 World Cup". 

The team includes dynamic Virat Kohli as captain and hit machine Rohit Sharma as vice-captain. Other players included in the team are KL Rahul, Surakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Rahul Chahar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Mohammad Shami. BCCI has kept three players on stand-by which include Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, and Deepak Chahar.

Jay Shah, Secretary of BCCI, announced on Twitter via a video post declaring MS Dhoni as the mentor for the team. The caption of the video reads, "Mr. @msdhoni will join #TeamIndia for the upcoming #T20WorldCup as a mentor. The announcement from Mr.@JayShah, Honorary Secretary, BCCI, which made the entire nation happy."

MS Dhoni is one of the successful captains of the Indian cricket team and, under his leadership, India won an ICC World Cup, a T20 World Cup, and ICC Champions Trophy. The fans of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni are super excited to see them again together.
