Wimbledon 2021: Rohan Bopana and Sania Mirza win all-Indian mixed doubles

For the first time in the history of Grand Slam Tournaments, two Indian teams faced each other.

On Friday Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza defeated the brand new combination of Ramkaumar Ramanathan and Ankita Raina 6-2 7-6(5) at Wimblendon. It was for the first time in the history of Grand Slam Tournaments where both the doubles were Indians. 

 brought a debut for Ramkumar made a debut in The Grand Slam Tournament, he made 21 attempts to qualify for the singles main draw of tennis major. The first set ended in the favor of the veterans, Ramkumar and Raina who gave tough in the second set, which they led for a brief period with a break of serve. Ramkumar showed his best performance on the court with his powerful serve and solid groundstrokes. As talking about Sania's serve is not at its best and it would improve as she keeps on playing more competitive matches. Sania Mirza has also won in women's doubles with Bethanie Mattek-Sands.
