IPL 2021: BCCI to resume remaining matches in September-October in UAE 

The decision, on resuming the league that was taken at a BCCI Special General Meeting (SGM) which was held early in the day, where all the members unanimously agreed to resume the season.

On Saturday, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September-October this year. 31 matches are yet to be played in IPL 2021. The tentative dates will be between September 18 to October 10.

The decision, on resuming the league that was taken at a BCCI Special General Meeting (SGM) which was held early in the day, where all the members unanimously agreed to resume the season.

In an official statement, BCCI stated, "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced to complete the remaining matches of VIVO Indian Premier League 2021 season in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) considering the monsoon season in India in the months of September-October this year."

It further said, "The BCCI SGM further authorised the Office Bearers to seek an extension of time from the ICC to take an appropriate call on the hosting of ICC T20 World Cup 2021."
