Junior Hockey World Cup: Sanjay and Araijeet Singh Hundal's hat-trick leads India to a 13-1 one-sided victory over Canada

The host scored seven of its goals through penalty corners.

After a shocking defeat at the hands of the French, the Indian team made a comeback with Sanjay and Araijeet Singh Hundal's hat-trick in the men's Hockey Junior World Cup. The Indian team dominated the Pool B match and defeated Canada by 13-1 at the Kalinga Stadium.

To maintain pressure on the opponents, the Indian team showed better coordination and rhythm since the beginning of the match and they got the lead in the sixth minute. From a back pass of Maninder Singh inside the circle, Uttam Singh hit home. 

Indians kept scoring goals at regular intervals. The host scored seven of its goals through penalty corners. Sanjay was able to score his second hat-trick and Hundal his first. 

On the other hand, Argentina won with a massive 14-0 against Egypt and, the team broke the biggest victory record in JWC. Spain held the record of 17-0 drubbing of the USA. Earlier, the feat was achieved by the Indian team by 13-0 over Singapore in 1982.
