Mankind Pharma decides to give Rs. 11 Lakh to each athlete who missed a medal at Olympics

Mankind Pharma takes a step to appreciate the hard work of the players and felicitate them with Rs. 11 Lakh each who nearly missed medals in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Mankind Pharma has decided to felicitate 20 Indian players with Rs. 11 Lakh each who nearly missed medals in Tokyo Olympics 2020. The drug firm decided to take this step to encourage and appreciate the hard work of the players. 

Mankind Pharma reportedly said that they understand the hardships of the athletes and that they've come forward to acknowledge their efforts. The statement further added that there are a total of 16 players on the women's hockey team. Each of them will get Rs. 11 Lakhs, wrestler Deepak Punia, Golfer Aditi Ashok, Shooter Saurabh Chaudhary, and Boxer Satish Kumar will also get Rs. 11 Lakh each.

Rajeev Juneja, Vice-Chairman, and MD of Mankind Pharma believe that in every sport, it is not the winning that counts but the efforts of athletes representing the country that matters. The company believes that the players might have missed the medal but, they won the hearts.
