On Saturday, Muhammad Ali's grandson Nico Walsh made his professional boxing debut. Nico Ali's first victory came in just 70 seconds into the game of the first round. He secured his win by TKO over his opponent Jordan Weeks.

In his debut match, Nico Ali Walsh saw owning his great legacy during and after the fight. Posting on his Twitter timeline, he wrote, "The Legend Lives On!!" He wore the same shorts gifted to him by his grandfather. Earlier, Ali Walsh was an amateur fighter. Later on, he signed up with Top Rank to get into professional boxing. The match held in Tulsa, Oklahoma's at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was a treat to the eyes for many.

Nico Ali wasn't always interested in this sport, even though this sport gave his grandfather everything. There was opposition from his mother, Rasheda Ali as well. Finally, at 14, Nico decided to get into this sport. He had the best mentor on his side, non-other than Muhammad Ali. He used to take lessons from Muhammad Ali on video calls. Unfortunately, the legend passed away in 2016 owing to Parkinson's disease. Nico Ali Walsh knows the importance of his legacy. He knows that the world will be eyeing him and has the pressure to live up to those expectations.

Interestingly, Bob Arum is promoting Nico Ali Walsh. He also elevated Muhammad Ali's fight in 1966 and organised several matches after that for him.
