Tokyo Olympics 2020: Indian archer Deepika Kumari, Pravin Jadhav step in the quarter-final of the Archery Mixed Team event 

Indian archer Deepika Kumari and Pravin Jadhav came from behind and won the mixed team event by 5-3 booking their seats in the quarter-finals.

Deepika Kumari and Pravin Jadhav make their way to the quarter-finals by defeating Chinese Taipei's Chih-Chun Tang and Chia-En in Tokyo Olympics on Saturday. In the Olympics, both Indian archers participated for the first time, and the duo won it.

The duo archer came from behind and won the mixed team event. In the match, India was trailing by 3-1. Later the archers made come back win for team India by 5-3. The debutant Pravin Jadhav with his quick releases looked all clear, and Deepika Kumari's composure helped the duo to overcome the pressure. 

Deepika Kumari and Pravin Jadhav were competing together for the first time. The scoring pattern for mixed teams is combined totals of the highest-scoring male archer and the female archer from a single country. Team India will be facing Korea in the quarter-finals of the Olympics 2020.
