The Indian hockey team has gained the 2nd spot after the win against Spain by 3-0. The goal made by Simranjeet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh made India victorious.

The Indian hockey team has gained the 2nd spot after the win against Spain by 3-0. The goal made by Simranjeet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh made India victorious. Team India was dominant for much of the game and managed to soak in the pressure whenever Spain attacked the goal post.

In the eighth minute, Simranjeet missed the chance to goal, but later, he managed to put the ball in Spain's goalpost at the 14th minute giving the lead of 1-0. Rupinder, with his penalty corner shoot, made the score 2-0. Spain continued to attack in the second quarter but, the Indian defense repelled them and maintained the two-goal lead. The game then went in halftime trailing, Spain at 2-0.
After the halftime team, India gave their best performance in the game and managed to keep Spain behind though they tried to score. Rupinder Pal Singh scored for India and made the lead with three goals against Spain.
