PV Sindhu is the hope for India to get a medal. She is the first Indian to become the World Championship and earned an Olympic silver medal in 2016. Sindhu ranked no 2 in April 2017. At the beginning of her career, she stepped into the top 20 BWF World Ranking. The badminton player represented India in the 2016 Olympics and became the first Indian badminton player to reach the finals.
PV Sindhu won a silver medal in different tournaments like the 2018 Commonwealth Games and Asian Games and two bronze medals at the Uber Cup. Looking at the past achievements, India hopes for a medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
