Tokyo Olympics 2020 Update: PV Sindhu, India Men's Hockey team, booked a place in the quarterfinals

Indian badminton player PV Sindhu and the Indian men's hockey team stormed into the quarterfinals of the Olympics 2020.

The star badminton player of India, PV Sindhu, has made way to the quarterfinals, trouncing Mia Blichfeldt of Denmark in the women's singles round of 16 games of the Olympics.  She took a 1-0 lead after the first game scoring 21-15 in just 22 minutes later. She scores 21-13 to win the clash in straight sets against Mia Blichfeldt, who seeded 13th. 

Also, the Indian men's hockey team stormed into the quarterfinals of the Olympics 2020. They defeated champions Argentina by 3-1 scoring, two goals in the final two minutes. The first two quarters were goalless for both the team. India made the goal in the 43rd minute by Varun Kumar and broke the deadlock. Vivek Sagar Prasad and Harmanpreet Singh scored the next two goals in the 58th and 59th minute, which earned victory for the team.

The Country is hopeful for a medal from PV Sindhu's consistent win in the Pool A match has proven to be a tough athlete in badminton. The Indian Men's Hockey team has also consolidated their position in the second spot of Pool A with three wins and one loss out of four games. In the first game, the Indian hockey team lost against Australia.
