Tokyo Olympics: Fouaad Mirza qualifies in the final of Individual Eventing with a score of 47.20

The Indian equestrian Fouaad Mirza has qualified for the Jumping Individual finals at Tokyo Olympics in the first attempt.

Fouaad Mirza the Indian equestrian has qualified for the Jumping Individual finals. He got eight points penalties and a score of 47.20. It was for the first time India participated in a horse-riding event and has stepped in the finals. 

For the second round, 25 riders will be selected out of 51 rider-horse pairs. The top three will be decided out of 25 riders in the discipline at Tokyo 2020. It was a hard task to break into the top 25, the perfect routine in the showjumping helped. The biggest hurdle of the pair was given points at that moment.

The Indian equestrian Fouaad Mirza has won silver medals in both individual and team eventing at the 2018 Asian Games. He is the first Indian to win a medal at an individual equestrian event at the Asian Games. After Imtiaz Anees, Fouaad is the first Indian to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
