Tokyo Olympics: Indian Men's Hockey team wins bronze medal after 41 years

Indian men's hockey team defeated Germany in Tokyo Olympics 2020 by 5-4 has added a bronze medal on board after 41 years.

Hockey, the national game of India, has added a bronze medal on its board after 41 years. Indian men's hockey team defeated Germany in Tokyo Olympics 2020 by 5-4. In the first quarter, Germany was leading with two goals troubling the defense of the Indian team. In the second quarter, the Indian team made a comeback with Simranjeet Singh's two goals. 

Also, India got two penalty corners where Hardik Singh scored with a rebound from the first one, and Harmanpreet Singh scored in the second one with a superb drag flick. The third quarter also went successful for India as Simranjeet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh scored two goals. 

India has a rich history and tradition in hockey. It is a sport that has given the country 11 Olympic medals, including eight gold (1928 - 1980).
