Tokyo Paralympics 2020: Krishna Nagar reaches semis after topping Group B of Men's SH6 singles

Indian para-badminton player and second seeder Krishna Nagar has advanced to the semi-final after topping Group B in the SH6 category. Nagar defeated Brazil's Tavares Goncalves in 21-17, 21-14 straight games.

The match started on a pivotal note and, Nagar was leading with only one point at 11-10 in the first set. Towards the end, Nagar made a forceful comeback and ended by getting the lead of 21-17. The circumstances were the same in the second game as well. Nagar was somehow able to break loose of Tavares game and scored against his poor shots.

Nagar had confirmed his place in the semi-finals yesterday after his Malaysian opponent Didin Taresoh retired from his second match.
