Komalika Bari became the second Indian female to grab the World Youth Championship title after Deepika Kumari. It added to the title she held by winning an under-18 championship two years back in Madrid. Komalika bagged two gold medals. One in solo and another one with Parth Salunkhe in the junior mixed team. India got a female champion ten years after Deepika Kumari. Deepika won her Championship in Legnica and Komalika in Poland. Both belong to the same Tata Archery Academy. Komalika nearly missed her third medal as the women's team lost to Spain.

Previously, the recurve archers men's and mix team won Gold medals in the World Youth Archery Championship in Wroclaw, Poland. India won three Bronze medals in the women's team category, individual men's and women's events.

The 16-year old recurve archer Bhishal Changmai had a great day on the field. He grabbed a bronze medal for his solo performance. He was also a part of the men's team and mixed team who won gold. Although this medal haul of the Indian contingent comes in the absence of teams from China, Korea, and Chinese Taipei, their efforts are appreciated. In the U-21 CAtegory, the Indian team defeated Spain in the men's and mixed team category. The tally of medals read as Gold - 8, Silver - 2, and Bronze - 3 by the end of the Championship.
