World Athletics U-20 Championship: India to enter the competition with 27 athletes

The World Athletics U-20 Championship will take place in Nairobi, Kenya from, 18 August - 22 August the Indian contingent comprises 17 boys and ten girls and has several medal contenders this time.

Indian athletes made their mark in Tokyo Olympics 2020. It is time to prosper in World Athletics Under-20 Championship. The championship will take place in Nairobi, Kenya from, 18 August - 22 August with a delay of one day. It was going to start on 17 August. The competition was supposed to take place from 7-12 July 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the authorities postponed the event. 

World Athletics under-20 Championship has been a breeding ground for future champions. Because of this championship, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra and Hima Das got their first big break. The prime focus will be on Javelin thrower Kunwar Ajai Raj Singh Rana and long jumper Shaili Singh. Rana has a personal best of 74.75m in the javelin throw, which helped him qualify for the competition. Shaili has the best record of 6.48m in the long jump.

The Indian contingent comprises 17 boys and ten girls. India has several medal contenders this time. Priya Mohan expected to give her best of 53.29 seconds in 400m. According to the Indian chief coach, Kamal Ali Khan, Amit in men's 10,000m race walk, Ankit Dhyani in women's 5,000m, and Amandeep Singh Dhaliwal in men's hot put are expected to do well.
