World Junior Wrestling Championship, held in Ufa, Russia, ended on a good note for the Indian men's freestyle players. India won five bronze and one silver medal in this category. This time India won more medals than in Junior Wrestling Worlds that took place in Tallinn in 2019.

Ravinder lost to Rahman Amouzadkhalili of Iran by 9-3 in the 61 kg category final match. He reached the finals by defeating Armenian Levik Mikayelyan by technical superiority. Ravinder, with his moves, was at point-scoring and, the scoreboard was constantly moving. The double leg attacks helped the Indian wrestler to clinch the medal.
India won bronze in the following categories, Anirudh Kumar (125Kg), Pruthviraj Patil (92Kg), and Yash (74Kg). In the women's section, Bipasha reached the final in the 76Kg category. In the men's section, Deepak and Gourav Baliyan won bronze in 97 and 79Kg categories.
