On Sunday, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced that they have allowed the gardens, beaches, grounds, and seafronts to remain open on all days from 16th August. These places will stay open from 6 am to 10 pm. As the COVID-19 cases are going down, the government of Maharashtra is taking various steps to ease guidelines in the form of the Break the Chain order.

The people visiting this place have to keep the COVID-19 protocols in mind. A warning issued by the BMC mentions that if they see someone flouting the protocols will be in deep trouble. Everyone must wear their masks and maintain social distance.

Previously, the government of Maharashtra had allowed fully vaccinated people to travel by local train from Sunday, 15th August onwards. They also allowed the malls to open but with the condition that only fully vaccinated people can enter. Last week the government eased restrictions for the hospitality industry by letting them function till 10 pm with 50 percent capacity. World Health Organization (WHO) and other countries have appreciated the efforts of the Maharashtra government to curb the cases and the process of unlocking.
