The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has granted Sania Mirza a 10-year Dubai golden visa. After SRK and Sanjay Dutt, she is now the third Indian to get this golden visa. Along with Sania Mirza, her husband Shoaib Malik has also received this golden visa.

The UAE government has started issuing the golden visa in 2019 as a system for long-term residence. The visa helps foreigners to live, study, and work without the need for a national sponsor. Any foreigner who acquires the golden visa hold 100 percent ownership of their business established in the UAE. The period of this visa is 5 to 10 years, and it gets renewed automatically. The sports couple have been residents of Dubai for the past few years since they got married in 2010.

As both the celebrity sport-couple obtained the golden visa, they are working hard to open a sports academy that will provide tennis and cricket coaching in UAE soon. She will be representing India in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics commencing on July 23.
