As per the application 'Sonu For You' a donee can reach out to donors and on receiving a request a donor can quickly reach the respective hospital and donate blood.

Actor Sonu Sood who is seen rigorously working for the well-being of people across the country amid the pandemic will be soon launching a blood bank application named 'Sonu For You'. The app which is expected to be India's biggest blood bank aims to connect with the donors in need of blood urgently.

As per the application, a donee can reach out to donors and on receiving a request a donor can quickly reach the respective hospital and donate blood.

While talking to IANS, the actor said that 'Sonu For You' was conceived by him and his friend, Johnson. Every time someone needs blood on an urgent basis and they share the same on social media, they receive responses from many. So they thought, why not come with an app that serves the same purpose? Going to a blood bank to search for a certain blood group can take a long time especially in cases of rare blood groups. Every year, 12000 patients die due to a lack of donated blood in India. With this app, they want to convey the message that only 20 minutes can save someone's life.

Sonu started the relief work by helping migrants during the lockdown last year. He also distributed e-rickshaws among the underprivileged. Later, the actor commenced online classes for children and extended technical support to them. On regular basis, he also checks all the tweets and messages asking for help across the country.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Sood announced a new film 'Kisaan', to be helmed by E Niwas and produced by filmmaker Raaj Shaandilyaa. Apart from that, he will also star in Chiranjeevi starrer upcoming Telugu movie 'Acharya' and will also be seen in Akshay Kumar's 'Prithviraj'.
