We for India: A. R. Rahman, Ajay Devgn and Ed Sheeran, and other Global stars team up for the COVID-19 relief fundraiser.

'We for India' is a fundraiser event that will be held on 15th August to raise over 25 crores to help in the COVID-19 relief work.

'We for India' is a fundraiser event Produced by Reliance Entertainment in partnership with The World We Want (WWW), which will be supported by GiveIndia, a non-profit online donation platform. The event will be held on 15th August, Independence day and the event will be streamed on Facebook. The purpose of this event is to raise over 25 crores to help in the COVID-19 relief work.

The video stream will feature over 100 artists from various entertainment industries including actors and actresses - Saif Ali Khan, Vidya Balan; Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Sonakshi Sinha, Dia Mirza, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh; Directors - Rajkumar Hirani, Imtiaz Ali, Farah Khan, Vikram Bhatt; Choreographers - Prabhu Deva, Remo D'Souza; Lyricist - Javed Akhtar; Musicians - Shankar Mahadevan, Mithoon, Amit Trivedi, Usha Uthup, Salim-Sulaiman Merchant, Swanand Kirkire and the list is endless.

Along with Ed Sheeran and Mick Jagger, other international artists who will participate are Music Group, Sister Sledge ft Sledgendary; Guitarist, Nile Rodgers; Veteran singer, Annie Lennox with her daughter Lola Lennox and African actor, Dima-Okojie will be present.

Actor Rajkumar Rao is going to host the show, there are various chat sessions arranged with the film stars like Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Pratik Gandhi, Shreyas Talpade, Farhan Akhtar, Nagarjuna Akkineni, R Madhavan, and many more. Besides the artists, several medical professionals are also going to be present in the event who can share their experiences and stories related to the pandemic. 

The funds raised from this event will be spent in giving ration kits and meals to the families badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in rural and urban areas of India. These funds will also help in staffing vaccines in the vaccination centres.
